Located along Albuquerque’s eastern edge at the base of the Sandia and Manzano foothills, Four Hills Village was developed beginning in the late 1950s as one of the city’s premier residential communities. The neighborhood grew around what was then Four Hills Country Club, with its large lots, winding streets, custom homes, rolling terrain and expansive views helping establish Four Hills as one of Albuquerque’s most prestigious neighborhoods of its era. The area also has deep roots predating the neighborhood, including ranching and horseback riding, and today its proximity to foothill open space gives Four Hills a distinctive combination of established homes, natural scenery and Albuquerque history. At the center of that story remains The Canyon Club at Four Hills, which opened as Four Hills Country Club in 1959 and continues to anchor the community with its private golf course and club facilities.
